Crossing Canada from Calgary to Winnipeg & beyond to gorgeous lakes!

Wow, it has been a long time since I posted! So many places and events to tell about.

Leaving Calgary, we stopped off at UNESCO Heritage site, Dinosaur Provincial Park. That was pretty amazing, and then continued on ending up spending one night in Medicine Hat at Gas City Campground. It was only one night, but it was so pretty and green, that I wished it was more! After that, we made it to Regina, SK for 2 nights, and took a tour of the legislative building and walked the lake with Trivoli Fountain etc.

On to Winnipeg for three nights total! They were having cultural events around the city called Folkarama, which we got tickets for celebrating the Philippines. The resort was quite cool and had a lake/pool area. We took a tour of the river and spent one day at the Forks Market Plaza area.

Onward again, we stayed at a beautiful RV park in Kenora, Ontario Canada. We were on Lake of the Woods at Anicinabe RV Park. It was such a pleasant time to sit outside our campsite and just see the lake and watch the deer. The next day we took the MS Kenora boat tour. There are thousands of islands, that you can only see by boat. Many of the Canadians have a residence on these tiny islands all over the place

And lastly, we are at the Pines at Lake KABETOGAMA, International Falls in MINNESOTA for two nights, leaving tomorrow! We finally crossed the border OUT of Canada, only to go back IN tomorrow to go above Lake Superior! Again, we had a lakeview campsite, and beautiful campground. Today we were on a lake tour for Voyageur National Park. Again, the only way to see this national park is by boat. Oreo got to come also!

I am hoping all is well with you all. I’ve been keeping up with friends and family and hearing some trials and some joys. We’re sending God‘s blessings your way. We are thankful for all of you.

P.S. We almost hit a bear the other day! He walked into the road and saw us, and luckily backed up real quick! Scary,! It was a black youth bear…. We were just saying that we hadn’t seen an animal for quite awhile!

Moose Jaw City!
Tomorrow we head to Thunder Bay above Lake Superior
