Made it into Canada! Cardston city, McLeod city & Cochrane - outside of Calgary!

Cardston is the first city that we spent in Canada. We made it through the border without a problem, but one of our leaders was stopped over an hour for interrogation for having the word “staff” on the sticker on the outside of their trailer. Are they working here in Canada? Etc.. In Cardston, I went with the group to the Remington Carriage museum tour, and had a horse carriage ride, which was super cool. François went golfing with one of the guys.

Next, we went to McLeod, Canada and stayed at Rivers Edge RV park. We visited a UNESCO heritage site, which sounds super weird and is titled “ Head smashed in buffalo Jump “. Yes, you heard me right. The Indians would corral about 300 buffalo to jump off a cliff, and be able to feed 1,000 villagers for a year with it all. It was really interesting and so strange also.

Then we headed to Calgary for three nights, or Cochrane right outside of it. We took a tour bus yesterday into Calgary and had lunch at the top of a tower, which looks a lot like the space needle in Seattle. Then we went to Heritage Park, which is a little bit like Knotts Berry Farm, lol, but it was all Canadian history, of course. Here are some pictures of it all.

Tomorrow we leave and head out to Banff and see Lake Louise and a lot of beauty! We have gotten to know most people and went biking today with another couple and have been playing games also with others. All is well. Happy Father’s Day everybody! Love you all.
