Banff, Lake Louise, Lake Moraine, Banff Springs hotel & more!

 We’ve had a wonderful time here in Banff and visiting Lake Louise. We saw a bear running along the freeway on the way to Lake Louise! The weather has been around 67°. We’ve ridden our bikes a couple times down to Banff downtown and around the lakes and to Banff Springs Hotel For lunch. It has also been a little rainy too. Wi-Fi signal is getting harder to get, although we have Starlink. It is not always full proof, however.

We went up the Lake Louise gondola, and had great views and saw a bear on one of the ski runs in the distance. We are staying at Tunnel Mountain campground in Banff. Lake Moraine is absolutely beautiful, and we actually all loved it more than Lake Louise.

Tomorrow, June 19, Zach’s 32nd birthday, yay! we head for the Columbia icefields. Not sure what to expect exactly.We have a glacier tour in one of those tractor vehicle things. We are spending the night in a parking lot and have no hook ups. Time to try out the generator! Luckily there are at least 15 rigs and we can all help each other as needed. We have water in our tanks already,  Batteries, propane, and solar.  Living in our 200 ft.² trailer has actually been OK and surprisingly, I end up, misplacing things in here all the time! Go figure. Oreo, as usual, is doing great with all the changes in routine. He hangs out in the trailer if we can’t take him out.

    Fantastic looking in Lake Tahoe right now pretty but not like that plus really crowded glad you guys are having a good time

Shasta for 4 nights, fishing & family!

 Hi everyone! Hope all is well. In order for you to get a notification that I post something on the blog, I think you have to log in and make an account, which is fairly easy, FYI. We have had an amazing time in Shasta staying at Lake Siskiyou campground for 4 nights. Jennifer and Rob, and Christopher Ferrouge all joined us for this stay. Scott and Penny are here also. The men golfed on the most gorgeous golf course the first day! We’ve had a lot of fun, biking, and beach time and then today we rented a boat and caught five trout! It’s been so beautiful. Shasta dam and the sun dial in Redding are shown below too.  Tomorrow we plan on going to some waterfalls with the family, and then going separate ways and continuing with Penny & Scott. Took a ferry across to Top of the World Highway and then Chicken, Alaska! & more! (Dawson City, Tok, Fairbanks)

Chena River, Fairbanks  Hi everyone!    One of our highlights this week was driving the Top of the World highway. It definitely felt like the top of the world! The roads are crazy, rough, and we ended up in the little town of Chicken. They’re downtown was a saloon, Café, and gift shop. We have been in several Cities with tours, talks, and shows. A salmon bake, sternwheeler ship excursion, potluck for July 4, and more. We saw a fox, and Caribou while driving. We arrived in Fairbanks, the other day, to actually stay for four nights, finally! The only thing that is a little bit of a problem here, has been a fire nearby and lots of smoky air. Francois’ has been fishing a few times and caught a few little trout. I think we are having it for dinner tonight. The weather has been in the 80’ the last few days with no rain. We are staying at the Fairbanks/Chena Northpole KOA right now. Congratulations to Alex and Kiana, our nephew who got married yesterday in Idaho! So thrilled!...
